MATCH REPORTS – U9s v Crediton away

CREDITON AND EXETER YOUTHS U9S DRAW IN TIGHT AFFAIR.

1st match: Crediton 7- Exeter Youths U9s 6
2nd match: Crediton 5 – Exeter Youths U9s 6

Exeter Youths U9s played some fine rugby in flashes but struggled to score the winning match point in a very tight game of eight aside rugby.

Reuben scored four amazing tries within the first 15 minutes of the first half. This was followed by two tries from Aston, one by Lucas, Leo and Harvey and another three more from Reuben. But Crediton stood firm and claimed a drawing victory.

Both Exeter Youths U9s and Crediton proved they had some good defensive skills and weren’t to shabby in attack as well. However it was noted on several occasions that Exeter Youths U9s clustered around tackles, forgot to defend in a line and fought with their own players for a spot to get the ball first.

Despite the minor hiccups that can easily be rectified at training the Exeter Youths U9s played well and again some real positives can be taken away from today.

A massive shout out and congratulations goes to the heroic Harvey who was this week’s man of match. Unfortunately Harvey wasn’t with us to claim his prize due to injury but he was voted for by the coaches for his fantastic communication, tackling and trie scoring.

Another shout out and congratulations goes to the player of the week Jack. Jack was voted for by the coaches for a rightfully earned most improved player.

The couch also rewarding all his players with sweeties for their game spirt.

Well done U9s, keep doing what your doing!
