First of all I'd like to say how brilliant the boys were today. I know there are some very proud coaches, parents and grandparents this evening. Well done to our two new players, Archie Clarke and Gus Carruthers, who both had great games.
Team: Rudi Phillips (Capt), Harrison Jelley, Jack Scrivens, Archie Palmer, Archie Thornhill, William McLeod, Josh Ham, Oliver Tillen, Oliver Hargreaves, JJ Slater, Gus Carruthers, Archie Clarke, Oliver Broom
The game started with a try to Jack S being scored within a minute or so of the start. This followed ... Read More
After an improved performance last week, despite the result, Exeter took on Crediton at Oil Mill Lane. Both teams were missing several players due to injury which meant Craig Marriott playing at full back, Cameron Forrest on the wing, Levi Richards at outside centre, Charlie Mason at blind side flanker and Will Cartlidge in the second row.
Exeter started well when Captain Jody Devine side-stepped his way over the line after a good handling move from the backs, Harrison Greenslade converted. After another run from Jody, Ryan Lacey was stopped close to the line but a couple of phases later he picked ... Read More
CREDITON AND EXETER YOUTHS U9S DRAW IN TIGHT AFFAIR.
1st match: Crediton 7- Exeter Youths U9s 6
2nd match: Crediton 5 - Exeter Youths U9s 6
Exeter Youths U9s played some fine rugby in flashes but struggled to score the winning match point in a very tight game of eight aside rugby.
Reuben scored four amazing tries within the first 15 minutes of the first half. This was followed by two tries from Aston, one by Lucas, Leo and Harvey and another three more from Reuben. But Crediton stood firm and claimed a drawing victory.
Both Exeter Youths U9s and Crediton proved they had some ... Read More
This was the Under 12’s first home game of the season and on an immaculately prepared pitch with reasonably straight lines the game began. It was a great start as straight from the kick off the boys received the ball and went through a number of phases of play with some good passing and then a good run from Jamie took us well into their half. From the recycled ball there was more good passing leading to a good run and try by Charles. Crediton then put the boys under some intense pressure in ... Read More
A home game at oil mill lane on a fully marked out pitch with white lines and even white poles in the corners for the first time thanks to Colin Rookes efforts painting them yesterday.
We nearly had a full strength team of 14 players with only Callum and Cayden unavailable and Jack still recovering from a whack on the nose at Newton Abbot last week, hope you are feeling better Jack as there was a fair bit of blood running out of it last week !!
The key points we spoke about were trying to get ... Read More

Today we were at one of my favourite clubs, Crediton. I have many happy memories from playing colts rugby here (just a few years ago). As expected the Crediton coaches, and club in general gave us a warm welcome, and a fabulous pitch to play on, complete with full line markings, corner flags and goal posts!!
As with last year the Crediton side came complete with 5 coaches, and 29 players! And to ... Read More

Newton Abbot arrived for their U10s first visit to Bravelands due to us not having played them since the days of Sandy Park matches on the rubber crumb. The coaches complimented us on the playing surface and the welcome they received. Which was in no small part due to our fab parents on parking duty!
The day was perfect for running rugby, with the pitch having been rained on thoroughly in ... Read More
We took a team of U11S Players to Newton Abbot today. With a number of our regular players unavailable, this gave some of the less experienced players the opportunity to 'step-up to the mark'.
It was a beautiful sunny day, which was great for parents and spectators, but hot work for the boys who were made to work hard throughout the entire 40 minutes played.
Newton scored the opening try after some good defence from Exeter. It was a close affair with some ... Read More
U8's played Newton Abbot, we were able to field 2 teams who both played 2 games and were predominantly the stronger team.

Team 2 - Dylan Alfie Freddie Harry Ollie L Jensen
Game 1 NA 4 Exeter 8
The boys started strong with some outstanding tackling from Dylan Alfie and Ollie. This saw Exeter get the ball and Dylan started our scoring with the 1st try of the morning. All game the boys defended well, and kept being able to turnover NA attacks.
We continued to attack well which saw 2 tries from Harry and ... Read More
Well what a contrast and that's not just the bacon baps. While on bacon baps I realise that I have become a custom to our high quality bacon baps that other clubs just fail to live up to.
As for the match well we won very convincingly! In fact a number of parents attention span waned and they got distracted by the under 16's match which was a lot closer affair. Now I know that lots of the boys scored fantastic try's but unfortunately personal ambition took over from team work. So rather than mentioning the try's ... Read More
